What are you listening to this week?
Stan Getz is another one of those players that has greatly impacted my tone concept. The warm and mellow wisp of smoke, that Lester Young sound. There's a real art to blowing behind a vocalist and not blowing over them, and this record is a great example of how it is done. Astrud Gilberto is great, and there is a real chemistry between her voice and Getz' saxophone.
